What ODD THEORY collects, why, and what we never do with it.
01 — What we collect
- When you order: name, email, phone number and delivery address, the pieces you bought and how you paid.
- If you create an account: your email, name, a securely hashed password, and saved address.
- If you join the newsletter or write a review: your email, or the name and review you submit.
- Technical basics: your IP address and browser details, used to keep the store secure (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts).
02 — What we don’t collect
Online payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details go straight to them — we never see or store them. We don’t use advertising trackers.
03 — Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders, and send order emails (confirmation, shipping, delivery).
- To run your account and sign you in (including one-time codes sent by email).
- To prevent fraud and misuse.
- To send drop news — only if you signed up, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
04 — Who we share it with
Only what’s needed: courier partners (name, address, phone) to deliver; Razorpay to take payments; and our hosting and email provider to run the store. We never sell your data.
05 — Cookies & storage
We use only essential cookies and browser storage: to keep you signed in, remember your bag and saved pieces, and remember details you chose to save. No advertising cookies.
06 — How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Account and newsletter data is kept until you ask us to delete it.
07 — Your choices
You can see and edit your details on your Profile. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account deleted, email orders@oddtheory.online (Mon–Sat, 11 am – 7 pm IST). We’ll respond within 30 days.
08 — Security
The store runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and sensitive settings are encrypted. No system is perfect, but we take care to keep your data safe.
09 — Grievance officer
reachable at orders@oddtheory.online. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
